The application parameters for this water container include the general design, construction materials, prospective location, water usage, temperature of the storage area, pressure requirements, and volume of liquid to be contained. Further considerations should also be made as to how the tank's contents are to be delivered into and extracted or pumped out of the water tank. Building one would also entail a design that is sturdy enough to stand the elements. Wood, ceramic, and stone have been used for this purpose throughout the course of history.
